Position Overview

The Skills Development Intern position is a temporary role within the Operations role family at Momentum Life. The selected candidate will work from Centurion, Gauteng, with occasional remote work opportunities. The closing date for applications is 25 February 2025.

Key Responsibilities

The Skills Development Intern will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Skills Development Manager and the Learning & Performance team. The key duties include:

  • Assisting with skills development administration, ensuring smooth operations in all related processes.
  • Supporting workplace skills planning (WSP) and annual training reports (ATR).
  • Coordinating B-BBEE audit meetings and providing support to audited divisions.
  • Compiling and maintaining portfolios of evidence for transformation audits and submitting them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting skills development data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Capturing information on templates and systems to ensure data availability.
  • Ensuring documentation aligns with B-BBEE legislation and regulations.
  • Assisting with the implementation of skills development initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12).
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in handling learnerships, internships, and bursaries.
  • Knowledge of tracking and reporting statistics.
  • Strong administrative skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to solve problems, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • High level of analytical and technical skills.
