Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Business Studies and EMS: As a Business Studies teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) to FET Phase learners. This will include preparing lesson plans, teaching the prescribed curriculum, and assessing students’ performance.
- Grade 12 Focus: You will be expected to have at least two years of experience teaching Grade 12 Business Studies, with a specific focus on preparing students for their matric exams.
- Administrative Responsibilities: You will need to maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, assessments, and reports. Effective organizational and administrative skills are crucial for this role.
- Innovative Teaching: The successful candidate will be expected to engage students through creative and innovative teaching techniques that enhance learning and make the subject matter more accessible and exciting.
- Support Learners’ Sporting Commitments: TuksSport High School places great emphasis on both academics and sports. While you will not be required to assist in extra-mural sports or cultural activities, you will need to support the sporting commitments of the learners. You will be expected to offer extra lessons in place of extracurricular activities.

Requirements
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: An appropriate degree and professional qualification in the FET Phase are required. This will ensure you are fully equipped to teach Business Studies at high school level.
- Experience: A minimum of five years of Business Studies teaching experience at the high school level is essential, with at least two of these years spent teaching Grade 12 learners.
- SACE Registration: A valid South African Council for Educators (SACE) registration is required for this role. This is a mandatory requirement for all teachers in South Africa.
- Skills: Strong organizational, administrative, and computing skills (MS Office) are essential. Good communication skills are also necessary for effective interaction with learners, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with D6 communication platforms will be considered an advantage.

Working Hours:
- School Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM (Monday to Friday).
