Available Internship Opportunities

Kruger National Park provides internships in three main areas: Human Capital Management, Labour Relations, and Hospitality Service Management. These roles are based at different offices within the park, with each department offering valuable career experience in the respective fields.

1. Human Capital Management (Phalaborwa Office)

  • This internship is available to graduates with qualifications in Human Resources Management. The successful candidate will be placed in the Phalaborwa office and will assist with various HR-related tasks. Interns will gain exposure to the recruitment process, staff development, and HR management in a large organization like SANParks. 2. Labour Relations (Corporate Skukuza)

Internship Requirements

Applicants who wish to apply for the SANParks Internship Programme must meet certain eligibility criteria. These requirements ensure that candidates have the necessary academic qualifications and the right fit for the programme.

  1. Unemployed Graduate: The programme is intended for unemployed graduates.
  2. Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
  3. South African Citizenship: Only South African citizens are eligible to apply.
  4. Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Honours, or Master’s degree (NQF 6 – NQF 9) in one of the following fields:
    • Human Resources Management
    • Labour Relations Management
    • Hospitality Management
    • Tourism Management
  5. No Previous Internship Experience: Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship programme or been employed full-time.

In addition, applicants should be willing to relocate if they are applying for positions located outside their home area. While SANParks may provide accommodation depending on availability, interns will be expected to manage their own transport and accommodation if they are stationed in a location distant from their residence.
