Key Responsibilities
As part of this Copy Editor Vacancy, your responsibilities will include:
- Editing copy for YOU’s various platforms, including print, digital, and brand extensions, ensuring it is engaging, error-free, and suitable for the target audience.
- Fact-checking to verify accuracy and ensure proper grammar and spelling.
- Writing captions, headlines, and blurbs when required.
- Proofreading print publications and brand extensions to ensure high-quality, print-ready pages.
- Translating copy when requested by the editorial director or production head.
- Ensuring adherence to the publication’s style guide concerning grammar, language, and spelling.
- Managing editorial sections as assigned by the editor.
- Staying updated with the latest language rules and implementing them accordingly.
