Job Overview
The People Delivery Assistant will play a crucial role in HR administration, ensuring that records are maintained, reports are compiled accurately, and employee-related concerns are addressed effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update employee databases, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR department.
- Compile and update HR documents as required.
- Maintain filing systems and record all necessary administrative data for auditing purposes.
- Track and complete monthly staff training attendance registers.
- Prepare weekly reports and audits as required by management.
- Assist with HR-related queries, including leave applications, payroll concerns, employee benefits, and headcount reconciliations.
- Order and distribute uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) to staff.
- Coordinate HR-related events, such as long-service award ceremonies, peak season activities, training sessions, and staff appreciation meals.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace morale and productivity.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the HR team.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
Educational Qualifications:
- A National Diploma or Degree in HR Management, Industrial Psychology, or a relevant field is essential.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in an HR administrative or HR assistant role.
- Prior exposure to various aspects of the HR employee lifecycle, including HR administration, HR support, and HR service delivery functions.
Required Knowledge and Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Strong understanding of HR legislation, policies, and training practices in South Africa.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related business communication tools.
