ICT Systems Administrator Position Overview:

- Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be eligible for the role:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Matric
- ICT-related professional qualification
- Certificate in Systems Development Level 4
- Certificate in Computer Programming
- Certificate in Computer/Computer Literacy (MS Packages)
- Certificate in ICT Essentials (Computer Hardware & Software)
- Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the ICT field
- A valid Code B South African driver’s license will be an added advantage
Required Skills & Competencies
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a combination of technical and soft skills, including:
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Software installation, formatting, upgrading, troubleshooting, web and email configuration
- Computer hardware skills (assembling, repairs, network cabling, network points)
- Programming skills
- WordPress experience, including theme customization and plugin integration
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Key Performance Areas
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Website and Application Development & Maintenance
- Editing and maintaining web applications
- IT Training & Technical Support
- Coordinating ICT training to ensure efficient use of information system equipment
- Hardware & Software Configuration
- Setting up and configuring computers, printers, scanners, and peripherals
- Configuring software licenses
- System Administration
- Managing server systems
- Monitoring backups
- Administrative & Procurement Duties
- Maintaining ICT records
- Providing input on tenders for ICT system maintenance
- Policy Development
- Assisting in ICT policy and procedure review
The role also includes performing other tasks as delegated by the supervisor.
