Key Responsibilities
The Junior Dispatch Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by verifying stock accuracy, completing documentation, and assisting in dispatch procedures.
Operational Duties & Stock Management
Stock Verification:
- Confirm that all picked items match the picking slip.
- Check the nature, description, and quantity of the items before dispatch.
Stock Packaging & Handling:
- Ensure all stock is properly packaged to prevent damage.
- Use packaging materials cost-effectively to minimize wastage.
- Do not dispatch damaged stock—set it aside and notify the warehouse supervisor.
Labelling & Documentation:
- Label all packages correctly and seal them securely.
- Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including waybills and delivery notes.
- Record dispatched stock details on the Delivery Note and attach it to the package.
Stock Counting & Housekeeping:
- Assist in weekly and monthly stock counts to identify variances.
- Support warehouse operations by performing ad-hoc duties like lifting, loading, and unloading goods (up to 50kg).
- Maintain proper warehouse housekeeping to keep the work environment safe and organized.
Performance & Compliance Duties
Tracking Performance:
- Monitor and track your performance regularly.
- Set up performance review meetings with the Warehouse Supervisor.
Compliance & Safety:
- Follow 100% compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations in the warehouse.
- Comply with all laws and regulations related to warehouse and logistics.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with verifying stock accuracy during monthly stock-taking.
- Support various warehouse tasks as needed.
- Take part in company projects when required.
Job Requirements
