Purpose of the Role
The Junior Planner plays a critical role in Ares Holdings by collaborating closely with Retail Planners and Merchandisers to optimize store inventory levels, forecast sales trends, and identify trading opportunities. This position is vital in ensuring seamless interactions between customer demands and market forces, ultimately reinforcing the company’s position in the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Stock Management
- Attain monthly, quarterly, seasonal, and yearly sales plans.
- Collaborate with the Line Manager to create precise short-term and seasonal forecasts.
- Review store capacities monthly and allocate seasonal and core products accordingly.
Product Analytics
- Conduct top and bottom product performance evaluations.
- Manage stock flow while responding to in-season trading patterns and generate weekly sales reports.
General/Ad Hoc Tasks
- Assist with DSV queries and stock alignment.
- Participate in buying cycles and planning efforts.
- Plan staff uniforms on an ongoing basis.
Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Preferred (Retail, Business, or related field).
- Work Experience: 1-2 years of retail store management experience is highly desirable.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency in retail planning and stock management.
