Available Positions

1. Performance Management System Coordinator

  • Department: Municipal Manager’s Office
  • Task Grade Level: 10
  • Annual Salary: R307,093.44 (plus applicable benefits)
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Grade 12 and a National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management
    • 2-3 years of experience in Performance Management and Administration
    • Knowledge of local government legislation, policies, and systems
    • Strong communication, computer, and facilitation skills
    • Ability to produce performance reports and meet deadlines
    • Valid Code 8 driver’s license
  • Responsibilities:
    • Institutionalize performance management throughout the municipality
    • Coordinate performance agreements and ensure alignment with job descriptions
    • Organize workshops on performance management
    • Compile and review performance reports for submission to stakeholders
    • Respond to Auditor General and Internal Audit performance inquiries

2. Internship Opportunities

Molemole Local Municipality offers multiple internship opportunities in various departments. The duration and stipend details for each internship are as follows:

Municipal Manager’s Office

  • Internship: Public Administration/Management
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Public Administration/Management
  • Internship: Communication
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Communication/Journalism, with graphic design skills preferred
  • Internship: Internal Audit
    • Duration: 24 months (fixed-term contract)
    • Annual Package: R100,000 (all-inclusive)
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Internal Auditing

Corporate Services

  • Internship: Administration (x2)
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Administration/Public Administration or Office Management
  • Internship: Human Resource Management
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management
  • Internship: Council Support
    • Duration: 12 months

Budget and Treasury

  • Accountant (Assets and Stores)
    • Task Grade Level: 13
    • Annual Salary: R493,448.28 (plus applicable benefits)
    • Requirements:
      • National Diploma or Degree in Accounting
      • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in asset management
      • Understanding of GRAP standards and ability to prepare financial statements
      • Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP) certification is advantageous
    • Responsibilities:
      • Maintain and develop the municipality’s asset registers
      • Ensure compliance with Treasury accounting legal requirements
      • Conduct asset verification and maintain asset reports
  • Internship: Financial Management (x4)
    • Duration: 24 months (fixed-term contract)
    • Annual Package: R100,000 (all-inclusive)
    • Requirements: National Diploma or BCom in Accounting/Financial Management/Public Finance

Local Economic Development and Planning

  • Internship: Local Economic Development
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Development Studies, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Internship: Spatial and Integrated Development Planning
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Town/Regional Planning or Development Planning

Community Services

  • Internship: Waste and Environmental Management (x4)
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Monthly Stipend: R3,000
    • Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science/Management
