- Have completed Grade 12, including Mathematics and Science.
- Possess an N3 certificate with four trade-specific subjects: Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory, and Industrial Electronics.
- Be declared medically fit after a risk-based examination and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test conducted by the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.
