Role Overview
The appointed educator will join the Senior Phase faculty, delivering a rigorous and relevant academic programme in Life Orientation and PE. This role is designed to support the holistic development of students—emotionally, socially, and intellectually. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate learners while also guiding them in key decisions related to subject selection and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
The teacher will be accountable for the following areas:
- Academic Delivery: Engage students with future-focused content that challenges and inspires.
- Assessment and Reporting: Evaluate academic progress and communicate results effectively.
- Behaviour Management: Promote a positive and respectful classroom culture.
- School Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the values and ethos of ADvTECH and Pinnacle College.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records and contribute to school documentation.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed in the Senior Phase or FET.
- A specialised subject qualification (if applicable).
- SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
- 2–5 years of teaching experience, with preference given to those experienced in specialist subjects.
- Proficiency in digital and computer literacy.
- A valid First Aid certification is advantageous.
