Position Overview

This full-time, permanent Telesales Agent position is based in Rosebank, Johannesburg, and is ideal for individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced call centre environment. The role involves reaching out to both potential and existing customers, offering company products and services, identifying customer needs, and providing support and assistance. As a Telesales Agent, your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, generate sales, and follow up with leads to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Outreach: Proactively contact potential customers and existing clients via phone, email, and online platforms to present the company’s products and services.
  • Sales Generation: Drive sales by identifying and addressing customer needs, upselling additional services, and following through with lead generation and follow-up activities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: At least 2 years of outbound telesales experience, ideally within a call centre environment. Previous experience in B2C (Business to Consumer) sales is essential, with a proven ability to sell products or services to individual customers.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent telephonic communication skills are a must, along with the ability to actively listen, negotiate effectively, and convey information clearly and persuasively.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A strong customer service ethic, with the ability to build relationships and exceed customer expectations.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is an advantage to communicate with a broader customer base.
  • Tech Savvy: High proficiency in computer skills, including the use of relevant software, online platforms, and databases.
  • Education: A completed Grade 12 qualification is mandatory, while a tertiary qualification related to sales, marketing, or business is preferred.
  • Work Schedule: Comfortable with working the night shift, from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, and able to arrange personal transport to and from the office.
