DHL Supply Chain South Africa has announced two sets of vacancies under the Yes 4 Youth program:
- Yes 4 Youth (Gauteng) – 5 Positions
- Yes 4 Youth (VWSA) – 6 Positions (Uitenhage, Eastern Cape)
Each role is designed to provide hands-on experience and a solid foundation for individuals looking to establish themselves in the logistics and supply chain sector.
JOB PURPOSE
The primary purpose of these roles is to provide unemployed youth with a structured environment where they can gain workplace exposure and practical knowledge. The selected candidates will take on responsibilities such as loading, offloading, and following delivery procedures, all while adhering to company policies and operational standards.
The program aims to develop young talent and equip them with the skills necessary for future employment. Participants will receive instructions from Team Leaders and Managers, ensuring they understand client requirements, workplace protocols, and service delivery expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Learn and adhere to client-specific requirements.
- Acquire knowledge on the correct use of equipment and report defects promptly.
- Monitor and report non-conformities regarding customer merchandise.
- Work within designated operating areas as per business needs.
- Follow standard operating procedures and comply with safe working practices.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
DHL Supply Chain South Africa is looking for enthusiastic, adaptable, and goal-driven individuals who meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizens (BBB-EE Candidates Only).
- Unemployed Youth aged 18 – 29 years.
- Matric Certificate (English & Mathematics/Literacy) – Essential.
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 8) – Desirable (Only for VWSA positions).
